Since the creation of KRAFT Assurances, we have developed our own insurance-risk analysis tool: CHECK, which stands for Control, History, Exposure, Risks & Coverage by KRAFT (Contrôle, Historique, Exposition, Risques & Couverture par KRAFT). This enables us to present our recommendations to our clients without ambiguity. We chose to build it from the very beginning rather than acquiring an existing solution.
Why build it ourselves rather than buy an off-the-shelf solution?
Because our working method is our added value. We wanted a tool designed by us, exclusively for us, adapted to our logic, our professions, our standards, our vocabulary, our analytical framework, and not an off-the-shelf tool that we would have to adapt to.
The platform is divided into 3 areas.
Know Your Customer (KYC) data collection
With a requirement for trust and information security that aligns with our regulatory compliance framework: Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing, Politically Exposed Persons, GDPR... It is also at this stage that we collect the consents necessary for data processing in the context of advisory services, prior to any market solicitation.
The discovery and advice sheet
This is the tool we feed and consult on a daily basis.
A single file for each of our clients: in it, we identify the specifics and risks of the company (Property, Liability, Fleet, Group Benefits, Specific) and those of the executive (Health, Disability, Home, Auto, Borrower). For each family of risks handled, we structure the essentials: guarantees in place, claims history, key figures, needs and constraints, followed by proposed solutions accompanied by the client's opinion for each of them. It can embody our advice, with a summarized breakdown, total annual cost, and signature.
The complete audit sheet
This is heavy artillery! It can be deployed for insurance portfolios worth several millions of euros. It reviews the existing insurance program contract by contract, deepens the understanding of the client down to the group's structure and specific requirements, and then includes the creation of a risk mapping, the development of a retention and transfer plan, and the formalization of monitoring. The complete audit sheet synthesizes days of work between risk visits, the analysis of documents (often technical), and interviews with executives. The presentation is delivered in the form of a KRAFT report, designed to be presented at committee meetings.
The project was guided by 3 principles:
Availability. The tool works offline. During client meetings, on an industrial site, or on a train, we work without depending on a connection. An export and import function then makes it possible to update the data upon return, in a controlled manner.
Iteration. We work version by version. Each new development is tested and validated internally by the team before being deployed in a client file.
The human, Always. The tool structures, it does not decide. It makes our analyses understandable and helps illustrate the path that leads to a recommendation. Reasoning, decision-making, and negotiation with risk owners remain entirely human.
This work is the result of true collective intelligence. Everyone contributed their field experience, underwriting instincts, and typical client meeting questions. That is what distinguishes software from a business tool.
